After getting selected by the New England Patriots over the weekend, their new kicker Justin Rohrwasser faced a wave of controversy pertaining to his controversial tattoo on his left arm – a logo of a right-wing organization.
Rohrwasser said he got the tat back when he was a teenager, USA Today reported.
“Obviously, it evolved into something that I do not want to represent and when I look back at it, I should have done way more research before I put any mark or symbol on my body,” Rohrwasser stated in a conference call with reporters. “It is not something I ever want to represent, so it will be covered.”
The tattoo shows the roman numeral III which is surrounded by stars and is best known as a symbol of the Three Percenters.
Sports personality and columnist Jemele Hill took to social media to call him out.

Hill’s second tweet sums up the controversy perfectly in how Colin Kaepernick isn’t welcome in the NFL over taking a knee for better treatment of people, while Rohrwasser’s tattoo is something entirely different.
Once social media found out this information, naturally, the jokes started.
Kaepernick rose to prominence in 2016 after launching a kneeling protest during NFL games to protest racial injustice in America. He has not participated in an NFL outing since 2016, despite countless attempts to get signed by various franchises.
