Jemele Hill seems to see right through Pete Carroll.
The Seattle Seahawks head coach said it took too long for the NFL to recognize Colin Kaepernick taking a stand when he took a knee during the national anthem.
“I think that there was a moment in time that a young man captured. He took a stand on something, figuratively took a knee, but he stood up for something he believed in — and what an extraordinary moment it was that he was willing to take,” Carroll said as a guest on the podcast of Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr and San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich.
Former ESPN anaylst Jemele Hill found his comments to be a bit strange and pointed that out while using another Twitter user’s comment.
Hill’s comment to that:
“Alllllllllll of this. Pete Carroll is being extra fake right now.”

It was back in 2018 when the Seattle Seahawks canceled their visit with Kaepernick when he refused to end his protest.
Kaepernick began protesting during the national anthem during the 2016 preseason with the San Francisco 49ers. His decision to protest stemmed from not wanting to “stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”
