Jeff Bezos has been named as an interested party where the Washington Commanders are concerned.
The team is up for sale on the back of revelations into owner Dan Snyder’s management and the 58-year-old is understood to have received bids amid an exclusive auction that Bezos was barred from being a part of.
According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, should the former Amazon CEO fail in his pursuit of the Commanders, he could still fulfill his goal of becoming the owner of an NFL team as there’s another franchise he has his eyes on: the Seattle Seahawks. Breer notes that Bezos might even be more interested in purchasing the Seahawks than the Commanders.
It’s also thought that the group of existing owners would love for Bezos to join them.
I’ve heard Amazon founder Jeff Bezos would be as interested, if not more so, in buying the Seahawks than the Commanders. So if Snyder’s set on boxing Bezos out of Washington, that certainly wouldn’t end the shot that Bezos becomes an NFL owner, as so many other NFL owners would like him to be.

Bezos has made no secret of his desire to own an NFL team and that he’s been as successful as he has in business makes him an ideal candidate. At least that’s how the other owners are understood to view the prospect of Bezos becoming one of them.
Other reports note that the Commanders will be sold in March.

Now, the post is running a new story bearing claims of the owners holding discussions about removing Snyder as the Commanders owner as they are angry over his demands to be distanced from any liability once the team is sold.
