On Wednesday, it was announced that Baltimore Ravens linebacker Jaylon Ferguson had tragically lost his life. He was 26.
To make matters that much worse, he left by a fiancee that is going through mental hell trying to figure out life without him. Ferguson’s fiancée mourned the tragic passing of the Ravens linebacker on Wednesday in a series of heartbreaking social media posts on Instagram.
Doni Smith shared a collection of images on her Instagram Stories.
“Never in a million years, I thought I’ll be saying RIP to you. My soul aches sooo bad baby. I know I’m dreaming baby… please watch over us! Please,” Smith wrote.
In a separate post, Smith vowed that Ferguson’s legacy “will continue.”

Ferguson and Smith shared three children together.
Ferguson’s agent, Safarrah Lawson, also released a statement.
“It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Baltimore Ravens LB Jaylon Ferguson. The family asks for your prayers and privacy during this trying time,” Lawson said.
The Ravens selected Ferguson in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Louisiana Tech. He played 14 games during his rookie season and had 31 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.
In 2020, Ferguson played in 14 games and had 30 tackles, 2 sacks, and a fumble recovery as well. In 2021, he only played in 10 games and had six sacks during that season.
