The Miami Dolphins organization is holding their breath this week after a star wide receiver went down with an injury in practice.
Jaylen Waddle reportedly exited Miami Dolphins practice Wednesday after suffering an injury to his right midsection. The Dolphins are holding joint practice with the Atlanta Falcons.
According to ProFootballTalk, Waddle went down after making a catch during team drills. He was favoring his right side, but was able to exit the field under his own power.
Head coach Mike McDaniel addressed the media before practice, so there may not be an official update from the team on his status. Until further information is available, consider the wideout day-to-day as Friday’s preseason opener against the Falcons approaches.
Per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa said he hopes Waddle’s injury will only sideline him for a few days, but that he couldn’t confirm the severity.
