Jaylen Waddle was just like everybody last year when they found out Henry Ruggs was arrested after a deadly car crash. The former Raiders receiver was arrested and charged with the death of a woman named Tina Tintor in Las Vegas after he allegedly crashed into her while speeding and under the influence.
It was a moment that sent shockwaves throughout the entire NFL and certainly left a mark on Waddle, who was Ruggs’ teammate at Alabama.
“It’s a tough situation, especially for a guy like that…Good person, good dude, and out of all of us, that’d be the person you’d least suspect something like that to happen to,” the Miami Dolphins star said during an appearance on the “I Am Athlete” podcast.

Five months have passed since ex-Alabama wideout and first-round NFL Draft pick Henry Ruggs III’s high-speed, fatal car crash that led to his arrest, and release from the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders.
It was determined by authorities that Ruggs was traveling at 156 miles per hour seconds ahead of impact and had a loaded gun in his vehicle when the crash occurred. Reports revealed Ruggs’ blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit at the time of the incident.

Ruggs was in his second season with the Las Vegas Raiders at the time of the incident. Even if he somehow manages to escape serious jail time, he is not expected to get a second chance in the NFL.
