And so the rich get richer.
With plenty of top teams improving their rosters at the start of free agency, the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs decided to get in on the action by improving an area of their team that was already a great strength.
After a few years of reconstruction, the Chiefs fielded one of the league’s top offensive lines in 2022. And that unit could be even better in 2023 following the signing of former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Chiefs signed Taylor to a four-year contract worth $80-million, with $60-million of that guaranteed.
Taylor will be replacing the Chiefs’ former left tackle, Orlando Brown Jr., who is also a free agent.
