Over the weekend, former Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant called out three men by name, saying someone should have brought them to the protests in Austin that focused on the Black Lives Matter movement.
He mentioned Jerry and Stephen Jones, as well as Cowboys tight end Jason Witten.
“Somebody should have brought Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones and Jason Witten to this protest down in Austin,” Bryant tweeted. “This is not a policy change; this is a heart change. And yeah, I said it.”
Witten, now with the Las Vegas Raiders, took to Twitter and stated that he tried to call him, so he explained himself in a tweet.
Bryant seemed to appreciate the sentiment.

Over the offseason, Witten signed a 1-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Witten spent sixteen season with the Cowboys and currently holds the franchise record in career receptions (1,215), career receiving yards (12,939) and games played (239).
