We may have a budding beef on our hands.
Last week, Stephen A. Smith said his new two-days-a-week partner Shannon Sharpe didn’t leave FS1’s “Undisputed” program “over his own volition.”
“I’m telling you he was pushed out,” Smith said. “It’s fact. They can deny it. He wouldn’t. I can promise you that. He was pushed out. He didn’t want to leave.
Smith said that he therefore saw it as his “responsibility” to speak up for Sharpe and make sure he had a landing spot.
Jason Whitlock did not agree because he knows information on what actually went down.
On the latest edition of Jason Whitlock’s show, the former ESPN and Fox Sports personality called out Sharpe and Smith for placing blame on Skip Bayless and FS1.
“Shannon Sharpe needs to cut it out. I know what happened at FS1,” Whitlock said. “I’m gonna say this speaking more specifically to Shannon Sharpe. Cut it out. Shannon Sharpe is trying to point a finger at a Fox executive or two, trying to smear them and put pressure on them to drum up a media storm of someone needing to be replaced… blame this executive… he pushed me out.”

Whitlock then went on to state he would share information he has about Sharpe to the public.
“I know what happened at FS1. And if Shannon and Stephen A. keep pushing this agenda, I’m going to expose all that I know.”
Sharpe has brought his popular “Club Shay Shay” podcast to Colin Cowherd’s Volume Sports network and is appearing on ESPN’s “First Take” with Smith on Monday and Tuesday every week during football season.
“Undisputed,” meanwhile, has changed its model from a one-on-one debate format to a panel discussion led by Bayless that includes Michael Irvin, Keyshawn Johnson, Richard Sherman, Rachel Nichols, and more.
Sharpe has yet to respond to Whitlock.
