Jason Pierre-Paul has some of the worst luck of any athlete that tries to make it through an offseason unharmed in recent memory.
Last May, the Tampa Bay Bucs defensive end got quite the scare when he was involved in an accident and was rushed to the hospital. Paul was cruising in his $350k red 2019 Ferrari 488 Pista when he suddenly lost control and crashed in the early morning hours on May 2, 2019.
The accident was blamed on weather conditions and wet roads and investigators did not suspect him of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Almost a year after the wreck, JPP reflected on the accident by sharing wild pictures of the accident scene.
One year after signing a four-year, $62 million extension, Paul was traded from the New York Giants to the Buccaneers in March 2018. He had 12.5 sacks, 20 quarterback hits and 16 tackles for loss in 16 games in 2018, his highest marks since 2014.
