Jason and Travis Kelce made NFL history on Sunday as they became the first brothers to play against each other in the Super Bowl. It was an awesome moment for the family but, unfortunately, only one brother could win.
Travis came up on the winning end, having helped the Kansas City Chiefs to victory with six receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown. Jason’s Eagles could just as easily have won it had it not been for a costly fumble, an unlikely punt return, and a controversial call.
The brothers embraced each other in classic Kelce fashion after the game. But it was the moment shared with their mother caught on camera that really warmed the heart.
The NFL released video and audio of the two interactions on Tuesday, which could be checked out right below:
As Travis pointed out before Sunday’s game, their mom would be a winner no matter which way the results went. And she must have been immensely proud watching both of her sons play in the biggest game of their lives.
The brothers described the moment with their mother during their podcast this week and Jason could hardly hold back the tears. “She was on top of the world for a week,” he said, well-nigh unable to speak because of how emotional he was.

The six-time Pro Bowl center won a Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2018 and was vying for another on Sunday, which was also the case for his brother, who had won one with the Chiefs in 2020. He will hope to even things up as quickly as possible.
