Jason Kelce knows how to be a good older brother and that good-hearted nature extends to any woman his brother is dealing with.
The Philadelphia Eagles center described pop superstar Taylor Swift as an “awesome, down-to-earth, genuine person” amid her relationship with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce while speaking to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe at the Pro Bowl in Orlando on Sunday
Ever since Taylor Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce became public, the pop superstar has become a trending conversation topic and has shown many times on broadcasts, especially when the tight end makes a catch or a touchdown.
The discourse around her has been loud as NFL fans are sometimes turned off over her being shown so much. That discourse will get even louder this coming week leading up to Super Bowl LVIII as the Kansas City Chiefs pursue their second consecutive championship.
Jason Kelce is one person who thinks Swift is an asset with her presence with the NFL and positively influencing young fans, especially female supporters.
“The attention is there because the audience wants to see it,” Jason told Caleb Noe, a reporter for Cincinnati ABC affiliate WCPO 9, in a recent interview. “I mean, if people didn’t want to see it, they wouldn’t be showing it. I know that.”
“She’s a world star,” Jason said. “She’s the quintessential artist right now in the world, singer-songwriter, immensely talented, unbelievable role model for young women across the globe. So I think that the NFL would probably be foolish not to, you know, show her and be a role model for all the young girls out there.”

Her regular attendance at Chiefs games has boosted TV ratings, ticket sales, and jersey sales, and resulted in an uptick in social media followers for NFL- and Chiefs-associated accounts.
Jason has shared a suite with Swift during each of his brother’s last two playoff games following the Eagles’ elimination in the NFC Wild Card Round.
Swift has attended all of the Chiefs’ games that haven’t conflicted with her touring schedule since September and is expected to attend Super Bowl LVIII despite a scheduled ‘Eras Tour’ concert in Japan on the same weekend.
