Jason Garrett has long been called a robot during his coaching career, but he really took it to another level on Saturday.
The Dallas Cowboys head coach was fielding questions after the team’s 34-0 victory over the Houston Texans when he was asked by a reporter how stunning it was to hear the news that Andrew Luck had suddenly retired at age 29.
Garrett’s brain couldn’t seem to process it and it led to a pretty hilarious reaction.
“That is stunning to me,” Garrett finally managed to say. “That is stunning to me. I did not hear that news.”

“I have gotten an opportunity to know him through the years, being in Pro Bowls together. I know his dad from way, way back. He’s one of the great players and one of the great people in the National Football League. That really surprises me. I’d love to hear more about it, but I just hold him in the highest regard as a player and as a person, and I wish him nothing but the best going forward.”
