Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions went into Lambeau Field on Thursday night and defeated the Green Bay Packers, 34-20, to improve to 3-1 on the season.
Goff actually left the field with two wins on this night.
In the pre-game show for Amazon Prime, there was an interview between Goff and former Rams teammate Andrew Whitworth, detailing Goff’s rise and fall in Los Angeles and his resurgence in Detroit. Once the segment was over, Ryan Fitzpatrick called Goff a “poor man’s Matt Ryan.”
Well, Goff was either watching and somebody told him about it.
After the game, Goff couldn’t wait to bring up what he said.
“Hope it’s up to your standards,” Goff said to Fitzpatrick. “I didn’t know I was a poor man’s anything, but it’s okay.”

After getting a round of “OOOOHHs” from the group, Goff told Fitzpatrick he was joking and just giving him a hard time.
“Matt Ryan is a hell of a player. I’m giving you a hard time,” Goff said. “I appreciate it, man.”
For the game, Goff threw for 210 yards and a touchdown in the victory, which was the Lions’ second primetime win of the season after they shocked everyone and defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the season opener at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Lions also had five sacks of Love, with 1.5 coming from Aidan Hutchinson, and 11 quarterback hits. The Packers had only 21 yards in the first half and trailed 27-3 at halftime.
The Lions moved to 3-1, while the Packers fell to 2-2.
