Jane Slater tried her hand at tackling at the Dallas Cowboys training camp on Monday and it appears she could find herself under consideration for the practice squad.
Slater is one of the most respected reporters out there and plies her trade with the NFL Network.
The 42-year-old seems keen on broadening her horizons and got her hands dirty to start the week as she lined up like a DL to tackle a practice dummy. Fortunately, she didn’t keep the laughs to herself and posted the clip to Twitter.
“Not gonna lie. Felt this one,” she wrote as the caption. “@BaldyNFL and I have some work to do folks.”
With all of the aggression and scuffles going on in various training camps this offseason, this is pretty refreshing to see as it’s really quite funny. It’s not often you get to see a member of the media throw their weight at and roll around with a dummy.
It also highlights the relationship Slater has with the most popular team in the NFL. Long may it continue.
