We have seen a few battles between siblings in the NFL over the years. We’re talking J.J. Watt vs T.J. Watt, Travis Kelce vs. Jason Kelce, and Peyton Manning vs. Eli Manning, to name just a few.
And today, we will add another two names to that list when Dalvin Cook and the Minnesota Vikings visit James Cook’s Buffalo Bills.
The running backs will square off for the first time, as James enjoys his first season in the league after being taken by the Bills in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Big brother Dalvin, on the other hand, has been doing his thing in the league for a while now, putting up over 5,000 rushing yards through his first five-and-a-half seasons in Minny.
Prior to their battle on Sunday in Orchard Park, ESPN ran a piece on James and Dalvin Cook, with some insight from their mom on how competitive the two can get.
You can expect to see that competitiveness on full display today, as Dalvin’s Vikings enter the game with a 7-1 record, while James’ Bills are not far behind at 6-2.
It’s also worth noting that they won’t be the only brothers squaring off today. In Chicago, we’ll be treated to a battle between Bears wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown and Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Unlike the James brothers, however, this will not be the first battle between the St. Brown bros, as they met two times previously when Equanimeous was a member of the Packers.
