You never know what you’re going to get with Jameis Winston at quarterback, but he’ll always be entertaining. The New Orleans Saints seem to think he might be good, but one wonders why they will not start him instead of Derek Carr.
A new rumor says the Saints are purposely not starting Winston because there is a real fear he will look much better than Derek Carr on the field.
The New Orleans Saints and Derek Carr agreed to a four-year, $150 million contract that included $100 million in total guarantees during the offseason.
The team wants to avoid a QB controversy and the embarrassment of paying so much for a QB when they could’ve just gone with Winston all along.
Carr has compiled 3,098 yards passing with 16 TDs and seven picks this year coming into Thursday Night Football.
In limited action, Winston has thrown for 264 yards to go along with two touchdowns and three interceptions.
