The Cincinnati Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase and New York Jets’ Sauce Gardner were easily one of the best matchups to watch for in Week 3 of the NFL season.
During one part of the game at MEtLife, a clearly frustrated Chase did not appreciate seeing Gardner celebrating and slightly bumping him as he tried to walk by, so he threw his elbow into the rookie corner.
Both had to be separated before things got even more physical.
The Bengals have been winning the team battle by a landslide, but the battle between Gardner and Chase has been much closer, with the Bengals wideout catching six of ten targets for just 29 yards through three quarters of play.
Chase does have a touchdown, however, and his Bengals look like they’re going to come away from this game with the W…unless the Jets have some more fourth quarter magic in them.
