Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase told reporters on Monday that he’s dealing with a back injury, and his status for Week 10 is unclear.
Per Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, Chase revealed that he suffered a back injury in Sunday night’s home win over the Buffalo Bills. Dehner Jr. noted that Chase had a “concerned tone”, with the third-year wideout adding that his injury got worse throughout the game.
At this time, it’s not clear if Chase will suit up for Sunday’s Week 10 home game against C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans. Chase finished Sunday’s game with four receptions for 41 yards, and Cincy held on for a tight 24-18 victory.
The 23-year-old Chase is having another excellent season for the Bengals, racking up 64 receptions for 697 yards and four touchdowns. Chase, who opened his career with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, is on pace to finish with career bests in both receptions and yards.

After hosting the Texans on Sunday, the Bengals will wrap up their season series with the Ravens with a Thursday night road tilt in Baltimore on Nov. 16.
