Tough start to the season for the Seattle Seahawks and their star safety, Jamal Adams.
According to reports, Adams is already being ruled out for the Seahawks’ week 1 contest against the Rams, which is just over a week away.
Adams is still recovering from a quad injury he suffered during week 1 of the 2022 season, which caused him to miss the remainder of the season.
It’s worrying that Adams is still recovering from this injury one year later, and it’s also been noted that he’s not yet practicing with the team. The good news here is that the Seahawks chose to take Adams off the PUP list last week, and they haven’t placed him on the injured reserve. So the belief must be that he can get back on the field at some point early on this season.
Adams was acquired by the Seahawks in a trade with the Jets back in 2020 that cost Seattle two first-rounders and a third-rounder. He hasn’t lived up to that lofty price tag thanks in large parts to injuries. Hopefully that trend doesn’t continue in 2023, but he’s not off to a great start.
