Jamaal Williams was pictured wearing some very cool gear in training recently. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to keep it on during the season.
Williams is nearing 30, but there’s nothing else to suggest that he’s an adult as he can’t stop clowning around. The 28-year-old is one of the best running backs in the NFL, although doesn’t take football that seriously, despite the money and the fame that comes with it. His touchdown celebrations will tell you as much.
The former BYU tailback was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2017 and spent the last two seasons with the Detroit Lions. He signed a three-year deal with the New Orleans Saints to the tune of $12 million this offseason after leading the NFL in rushing touchdowns in 2022 with 17.
Williams has logged over 5,000 yards in six pro seasons and has also built a reputation as something of a fashion icon. He’s quite fond of anime and will introduce himself as “first Swagg Kazekage, leader of the hidden village of the Den” on Sunday Night Football. So it made sense that he’d have an anime-themed visor out for practice this spring.

Fans are urging the league to let the player wear the bit of gear next season – unfortunately, that’s not going to happen. A medical exemption is required to wear a tinted visor, let alone one featuring Naruto.

He’s going to rock it while he can, though.
