Earlier this week, Jamaal Charles came into the Kansas City Chiefs facility to sign a one-day contract to retire as a member of the franchise. All the current players were in attendance including star quarterback Patrick Mahomes who got some time to speak with Charles.
Mahomes congratulated the Chiefs legend as well as stated how he looked up to him when he was back with the Texas Longhorns. That’s when Charles stated he wished he played with Mahomes because their stats together would’ve made them damn near unstoppable.
Charles had 7,563 rushing yard and five 1,000-yard seasons, averaging 5.4 yards per carry, for each of his 1,407 career carries.
Before the 4-time pro bowler headed off into the sunset, Charles came into Chiefs practice and was handed the ball from QB Patrick Mahomes one final time.
