Miami Dolphins fans may have reason for worry as star cornerback Jalen Ramsey appears to have sustained an injury during Thursday’s training camp session.
According to NFL Media’s Cameron Wolfe, the All-Pro CB had to be carted off to the locker room for evaluation after clutching his right knee in apparent pain immediately following a play in which he had defended wideout Tyreek Hill.
Wolfe noted that trainers rushed to the player and carried out a sideline assessment before determining that he would need to be brought off the field. The incident is also said to have taken place near the end of the session.
Ramsey is headed into his first season with the Fins, who acquired him via a trade with the Los Angeles Rams that saw tight end Hunter Long and a 3rd-round pick go the other way. He is thought to be the defensive player who will take the team up several levels next term, so it’s hoped that the injury is not serious.
The gravity remains unknown at the moment, but fans will be looking out for updates given how important of a player Ramsey is.
