Jalen Ramsey seemed more concerned with Derwin James following his nasty hit on Ashton Dulin on Monday night.
The Los Angeles Chargers safety was 100 percent responsible for the collision between him and the Indianapolis Colts receiver as he initiated the contact with a ridiculous tackle to the head and neck area. But Ramsey took to Twitter to call for a concussion check on the Chargers man.
The tackle was really quite shocking, with James smashing the crown of his helmet into Dulin’s neck while the latter was completing a short catch. Even Troy Aikman claimed to be surprised by what he saw.
“We’ve watched a lot of football, I don’t know if I’ve seen a hit quite like that,” the ESPN analyst said.
Dulin stayed down for a few moments and was wobbly when he got back up; he was ruled out of the contest with a concussion shortly after. James, meanwhile, was hit with a 15-yard penalty and then thrown out of the game.
“That was as big of a collision as I’ve seen in a long, long time,” Aikman, who took his fair share of horrible hits during his career, added.

Dulin, who was defenseless on the play, has entered concussion protocol. But, according to Tom Pelissero, James will avoid suspension. The safety might accrue a fine from the NFL, however.
It appears Ramsey and James are good friends. The pair played together at Florida State and Ramsey’s social media activity seems to point to a close relationship with the 26-year-old.
Ramsey celebrated on Twitter when James landed a four-year deal worth 76.4 million with the Chargers this August, also expressing disappointment over the fact that they won’t be playing on the same team for at least a few years.
