Today was one of the busiest days of the NFL season, as free agency kicked off with a flurry of signings. And perhaps one of the most shocking was the monster deal that the Jacksonville Jaguars handed former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Christian Kirk.
In an attempt to get Trevor Lawrence some much-needed help, the Jags handed Kirk a four-year deal worth up to $84-million.
The Jags may have been desperate, but that still seems like an awful lot of money to give to a receiver who doesn’t even have a 1,000-yard season under his belt in his first four years. Two people who would probably agree are Eagles cornerback Darius Slay and Rams corner Jalen Ramsey.
After hearing about the news, Darius Slay was the first to share some of his thoughts — which included predicting Davante Adams’ next contract and whether he should contemplate a position change.

Jalen Ramsey saw this, and replied with some thought of his own. He did acknowledge that it’s all a “blessing” though.
Slay agreed with the “blessing” part. Although they do make some fair points.
Ramsey is obviously the more familiar of the two with Kirk, having played against him in the NFC West for a few seasons. The Rams’ lockdown corner has been awfully vocal this offseason. He even chimed in on Brady’s return on Sunday.
