Jalen Ramsey has yet to suit up for the Miami Dolphins this season due to a knee injury.
However, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, that could change this weekend. The ESPN NFL reporter stated that the plan is for Ramsey to return to action this Sunday when the Dolphins take on the Patriots.
“Dolphins are planning for CB Jalen Ramsey to make his return Sunday from the knee injury that he suffered this summer, per sources,” Schefter reported on Thursday. “Ramsey now is expected to be back on the field three months after his knee surgery, with his Dolphins’ debut coming vs. the Patriots.”
It appears that information was not correct.
The Miami Dolphins cornerback would soon take to Twitter after he kept getting multiple text messages and blasted Schefter for his report.
“So this is why I just got a crazy amount of texts,” the rehabbing All-Pro cornerback said via – naturally, social media. “Well, this is news to me … mfs don’t care about being right, they care about being first in today’s media. That’s sad.”

Afterward, Ramsey clarified he is still clearing medical checkpoints in order to make his return this weekend at home against the Patriots.
“Full transparency, there’s a CHANCE that I can play this Sunday, but that decision genuinely isn’t made yet,” Ramsey wrote. “I won’t play if I feel any less than GREAT.”
Ramsey had surgery to repair his meniscus in July and he can be a major boost for a Dolphins defense that ranks 23rd in the NFL in Estimated Points Added allowed per play.
Ramsey entered his 21-day window to return from injured reserve on Oct. 18. Playing on Sunday is looking more likely than before, but it’s not a sure thing.
The Dolphins are 5-2 this season without Ramsey but they’re coming off a 31-17 loss against the Eagles and the defense got smothered for 48 points earlier in the season against the Bills.
Miami already looked like a contender, but adding Ramsey could really solidify it.
