Jalen Hurts has zero excuses now for not getting things down on the field after the Eagles went out and got him a weapon.
The Philadelphia Eagles made a blockbuster move Thursday night at the NFL draft, acquiring star wide receiver A.J. Brown in a trade with the Tennessee Titans. Brown, who had been seeking a new deal, has agreed to a four-year, $100 million contract that includes $57 million guaranteed.
Shortly after this trade was announced, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts shared his perfect response on Twitter.
Brown and Hurts have been friends since high school and recently hooked up for some pass-catching work. They likely had no clue they would be teammates soon.
Since entering the league in 2019, Brown has 185 catches for 2,995 yards and 24 touchdowns.
In 2020, Brown logged 70 catches for 1,075 yards 11 touchdowns but saw his numbers drop in 2021, after the addition of Julio Jones. In 2021, Brown logged 63 catches for 869-yards and 5 touchdowns in 13 games.
