Jalen Hurts has been having himself a pretty solid game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers through two-and-a-half quarters, and he’s been doing it under less than ideal conditions.
According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Hurts came down with “flu-like symptoms” before the game. Despite the sudden sickness, he decided to tough it out and play in the game.
The flu doesn’t appear to be affecting Hurts too much, as he’s passed for one touchdown and rushed for another to help give his Eagles a 20-3 lead.
Despite Hurts’ desire to play, it’s still an interesting decision by the team to allow him to do so, as these flus are known to spread throughout a locker room pretty quickly. Hopefully that’s not the case for the Eagles, and they’re able to have their full arsenal of playmakers for next week’s game against the Commanders.
