For Philadelphia Eagles’ star quarterback Jalen Hurts, there’s no hesitance when it comes to picking his favorite food.
During an interview with Sports Illustrated, Hurts was asked to name his preference between a Philly Cheesesteak or a Texas BBQ. He went off the board and said, “My mama’s BBQ”, and proceeded to use that same answer then they asked him which he preferred between her BBQ and several other foods.
No matter how good a restaurant/eatery may be, there are just some meals that simply don’t top a mother’s homecooked meal. In the case of Hurts’ mother, Pamela, her specialty is barbecue-related meals.
After leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl 57 appearance, Hurts was rewarded with a lucrative five-year extension worth $255 million. Hurts had finished second in MVP voting, finishing behind Kansas City Chiefs’ star Patrick Mahomes.
Hurts went 14-1 as the Eagles’ starting QB in the regular season and completed 66.5 percent of pass attempts for 3,701 yards and 22 touchdowns against only six interceptions, good enough for a superb quarterback rating of 101.5. Hurts also had 760 rushing yards and 13 TDS on the ground.
