The Philadelphia Eagles have an important game this Monday night, one that could see them seize control of their division following Sunday’s Cowboys loss.
Having lost two consecutive games, to the 49ers, as well as Dallas, there is an opportunity to get one over the latter and match the former’s 11-3 record when they play the Seahawks. There is cause for worry, however.
Jalen Hurts was reported to have missed practice on Saturday due to an illness, though he was still expected to travel to Seattle and start for Philly. According to NBC’s Joe Clark, several of his teammates have yet to see him in the city and are hoping he can play through his illness.
The quarterback traveled on his own and was photographed clad in Jordan gear, leading some fans to believe he’s trying to conjure up a “flu game.”

It is worth noting that the QB is signed to the Jordan Brand, so that could be all there is to it.
Illness or not, Jalen needs to have a good game this week after a poor performance against the Cowboys in which he was unable to initiate a single touchdown on offense. The Eagles’ only score came off a fumble return from Jalen Carter.
Word is, he will suit up vs. Seattle tonight, with NFL Network’s Taylor Bisciotti claiming as much.
“I’m told Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is definitely going to try and play tonight,” Bisciotti reported on Monday afternoon. “He started feeling ill on Thursday.”
“Had the normal fever, chills, body aches yesterday. But, the hope is Hurts is good to go tonight.”
