Jalen Hurts wears the No. 1 jersey when he’s out on the field, but it was the No. 2 that was on his mind after Philadelphia’s 41-21 loss to the Cowboys on “Monday Night Football.”
The Philadelphia Eagles QB compared the loss to pooping and not looking at it.
“I take responsibility for how this game went tonight,” Hurts said to reporters after the game. “I’m going to learn from it. We’re going to be a better team from it. I believe that. I truly believe that. You take you a deuce, you don’t sit there and look at it. You flush it and move on. We’re going to flush it and move on.”
After tying the game at 7-7 following a crazy interception, the Eagles were never really in the game again once the Cowboys scored another touchdown.
The Eagles’ offense failed to score in the first half and generated just 109 yards of offense. Their first seven drives of the game resulted in five punts, two interceptions, and zero offensive points.
Hurts finished with 326 passing yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions and 35 rushing yards. It should be noted that most of his production came when the team was down 20+.

“I didn’t execute. I didn’t do a good enough job of leading. I didn’t do a good job of running our offense — of doing the things I need to do,” Hurts said. “So it’s on me. This one’s on me.”
