The Philadelphia Eagles have made the “Tush Push” or “Brotherly Shove” famous. On Monday night, rookie defensive lineman Jalen Carter almost made another play that is likely to be recreated by other players.
Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter nearly pulled off a jaw-dropping play just before halftime of Week 11’s Monday night game against the Chiefs, as he slid under the center and extended his arms in an effort to intercept the spike from Patrick Mahomes.
Carter attempted to catch them off guard by sprawling out to try and pick off the spike with the Chiefs holding a 14–7 lead at the time.
While he was unsuccessful in his effort, he actually came pretty close to pulling off the play of the year.
Mahomes was able to clock the ball with three seconds left in the second quarter and set up a 43-yard field goal attempt for Harrison Butker.
