Don’t believe everything you see on social media just because somebody put a caption to it.
Many Georgia supporters have taken notice of the Philadelphia Eagles after they selected a total of six Bulldogs in the previous two NFL drafts. But Jalen Carter, one of the Eagles’ most famous acquisitions, has enjoyed much national attention, but not for good reasons.
Carter first burst onto the scene near the end of the 2022 football season with his ability to seemingly wreck entire offensive lines. However, his stellar play did not matter after his involvement with the tragedy of January 15th that led to the death of a teammate and a staffer.
Despite concerns, the Eagles selected Carter as the ninth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Fast forward to this week and his name is trending on social media for a bad reason.
A troll account posted a video of Carter in a vehicle with his friends as he shows off his watch, outfit, and bandana on his head.
The account captioned the video, “Video Surfaces of Philadelphia Eagles first-round pick Jalen Carter repping blood gang, he could possibly be facing suspension”

The reasoning is clearly because he is wearing all red.
Despite the obvious troll, fans reacted to it online:
During the past two seasons at the University of Georgia, Jalen Carter established himself as the most disruptive player on college football’s best defense.
In January, the 6-foot-3, 300-plus pound defensive lineman propelled the Bulldogs to a second straight national championship.
After missing the scouting combine, Carter weighed in at 323 pounds, nine pounds over his measurement at the combine, and did not make it through some drills because of exhaustion.
The red flags are there, but the Eagles think he is worth it which is why they selected him.
Carter is a lot of things, but a known gang member is not one of them.
