Jalen Carter is coming into his rookie campaign with a ton of controversy hanging over his head following a deadly accident where he was racing and it ultimately led to the death of a Georgia Bulldogs teammate and staffer.
A University of Georgia employee who was injured in the January crash that killed football player Devin Willock and recruiting analyst Chandler LeCroy has since filed a lawsuit against the UGA Athletic Association, Jalen Carter, and others.
While he deals with the legal ramifications of the situation, Carter has been putting in the work during the offseason to make sure his body is in shape for the upcoming season.
ChatSports’ Chase Senior took a screenshot of shirtless Carter off what appears to be a video he may have posted and it shows him looking incredible.
“A slimmed-up Jalen Carter?”
Carter, the 21-year-old former defensive lineman for the Bulldogs, pleaded no contest to the charges of reckless driving and racing in March and was sentenced to perform 80 hours of community service, pay a fine of $1,000, and serve a year of probation.

The lawsuit against him is seeking damages of more than $171,000 from the defendants for lost income and medical expenses.
In three years at Georgia, Carter accumulated 83 total tackles, 44 solo tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, four pass breakups, and two forced fumbles. This season, he accounted for 32 total tackles, 16 solo tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks, three pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.
If he plays well, the controversy around him will die down and it will only become about his play on the field if he can produce at a high level.
