Terrible way to start the final game of your preseason schedule.
Most teams enter this week’s preseason finale just hoping to get through it without any key injuries. Unfortunately for the Browns, they weren’t so lucky as wide receiver/kick returner Jakeem Grant went down on the very first play of the game.
Players from both teams went out to check on the 30-year-old former Pro Bowler, who had to be put in an air cast and carted off the field.

No word yet on exactly what the injury is or the extent of it, but it does not look good.
Grant joined the Browns last offseason on a three-year contract, but he missed the entire 2022 campaign after suffering an Achilles injury during training camp. He was coming off a 2021 campaign with the Bears that saw him earn Pro Bowl and second-team All Pro honors.
