YouTube star and boxer Jake Paul has apparently signed with the Cleveland Browns.
On Friday, Paul posted a short Twitter video stating that he’s “Excited to” join the AFC North club. The Browns’ official Twitter account responded to the tweet and welcomed the Cleveland native back home.
It’s not clear exactly what Paul’s role with the Browns will be. But it’s safe to assume that his contract has nothing to do with actually playing for the football team, as fun as that would be.
Jake and his older brother, Logan, rose to fame through social media and their YouTube channels. But both men have also enjoyed success in the sports entertainment industry, with Jake emerging as a star boxer and Logan developing into a quality WWE superstar.
The Browns enter Saturday’s game against the New Orleans Saints with a 6-8 record. To make the playoffs, they’ll have to win out and get some help from other teams, as the 8-6 Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers (holders of the final two AFC wild card spots) control their respective destinies.
