Green Bay Packers defensive back Jaire Alexander was in a big mood after helping his team to a 26-20 win over the Miami Dolphins on Christmas Day. Alexander had quite a lot to say after the game and it seemed as if he couldn’t wait to be asked about intercepting Tua Tagovailoa during the second half.
The Green Bay DB got one of the three picks Tua threw in said period and it turned out to be pretty important.
Jaire, Key & Peele
Asked about the play after the Xmas victory, Jaire went full Key & Peele, describing the pick so vividly, it would probably make sense to someone who’s never watched football.
“Oh man, that’s easy!” he said. “So I’m just lining up. I see number 10 motion over … I see number 10 coming across the field and I say ‘Oh snap, he’s fast.’ So I backed off, and when I backed off, I see him coming, he ran right in front of me and I was like ‘Wow, is he really overthrowing it?’ Took it down the sideline, turned up with my guys, and gave the football to a little kid wearing 23.”
Spreading Christmas Jaire
No.23 seemed like he could have said a bit more but capped the interview off with a Christmas greeting in which he let it be known that the Packers are back.
“If you celebrating, Merry Christmas, and go enjoy time with your family,” he added. “We got the dub baby, the Pack is back!”

The Packers remain in a position to challenge for a wild-card berth in the NFC and will play host to the Minnesota Vikings on New Year’s Day. Green Bay will need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive and, though the Vikings have already secured the NFC North, they will still be battling for seeding.
