Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk appeared to hurt a very sensitive lower body part while making a catch against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.
The Jaguars hung around to go into overtime, eventually losing, but the effort came at a cost as head coach Doug Pederson revealed on Tuesday that the player “miss some time” because of a core muscle injury he sustained during the fixture.
Kirk left the contest on the Jags’ first drive, hauling in a 26-yard catch before it was revealed he had suffered a groin injury. He was ruled out at halftime.
Folks online reckon the WR squeezed at least one of his testicles a little too aggressively while going to ground. Check out the video below and decide for yourself.
Unfortunately for all the social media docs, they were proven to be wrong as it has since been announced that Kirk suffered a core muscle injury that requires surgery.

Pederson has said that Kirk will not play in Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns, and he’ll likely be out for much longer than that. Calvin Ridley, Zay Jones, Parker Washington, and Tim Jones are the team’s available receivers. Elijah Cooks could be available as well.
Meanwhile, the Jaguars are also likely to be without quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Pederson has revealed that surgery might not be necessary. “Everything’s stable, everything’s good,” he claimed, adding, “We’ll see where he’s at in a couple days.”
