In the NFL (or any professional sports league, for that matter), you’ll almost never hear a case of a player admitting his team’s mistakes or shortcomings to the opposition.
But during the 49ers’ Week 10 road game against the Jaguars, San Francisco star linebacker somehow got a Jacksonville player to admit that his team simply had no idea what they were doing.
In the clip below, you can hear Warner instructing the defense, “Ay, they don’t know what they’re doing” as Trevor Lawrence calls a play for Jacksonville. On a hot mic, a Jaguars player is heard say, “You’re right, we don’t.”
Well, the score certainly reflected that.
Coming off their bye week and a five-game losing streak, the Jaguars were no match for Warner’s 49ers, who entered Sunday on a three-game losing streak. San Francisco made easy work of T-Law and company, defeating the Jaguars 34-3 at EverBank Stadium.
Lawrence had a rough outing against the 49ers defense, throwing for just 185 yards and two interceptions while taking five sacks. Star running back Travis Etienne Jr. was limited to 35 rushing yards on nine carries.
