This has to be the most incredble field goal we’ve seen this year.
Late in the fourth quarter against the Miami Dolphins, the Jags lined up to try and tie the game at 20-20. The Jacksonville kicker’s attempt started wide right and looked as if it had no chance. But then, suddenly, it hooked left at the last moment and snuck in between the uprights in a most unlikely fashion.
The kick was Beckem-esque. It even fooled CBS’s Kevin Harlan:
Y
That kick would turn out the be a big one, as the Jags got the ball back late and drove into field goal range, where Matthew Wright nailed another one, this time from 53 yards out for the win. It was the Jags’ first win since week one of last season, and it was also Urban Meyer’s first win as an NFL head coach.
