The Jacksonville Jaguars were likely never serius about trading Jalen Ramsey.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the front office is so entrenched in their non-trade stance with disgruntled CB that one source told him they wouldn’t trade Ramsey at this time “for five first-round picks.”
Even the dumbest front office in the league wouldn’t turn down an offer like that, but it gives you an idea that the team doesn’t want to part ways with him.
Schefter added that the Jaguars have received offers of two first-round picks for Ramsey, but the teams that are making those offers want a 2nd-round pick in return.
Owner Shad Khan is Ramsey’s biggest fan and supporter and even stated he would be willing to make him the highest paid player at his position.
Ramsey’s back injury is also an issue as the Jags ponder whether he would pass a physical that will keep him out of his second straight game on Sunday.
The 24-year-old has appeared in three games for the Jaguars and recorded 18 tackles, a forced fumble and one pass defense.
