Jacksonville Jaguars fans on Reddit have just changed the game.
The NFL opened Pro Bowl voting on Tuesday, and while the game is going virtual to Madden 21 this year, Pro Bowl voting is still important. As you may know, many player contracts include incentives and Pro Bowl nods can result in a bonus or salary boost.
The 2021 Pro Bowl vote takes on added significance for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings, because of defensive end Yannick Ngakoue being traded away to the Vikings in late August. The deal netted the Jaguars a second round pick in 2021 and a conditional fifth round pick in 2022. The latter pick could be upgraded to a fourth round pick if Ngakoue made the Pro Bowl this season.
Jaguars fans have decided to completely screw over the Vikings by recruiting fan bases from the Packers, Lions and Bears to help get Yannick to the Pro Bowl.
The Vikings traded Ngakoue to the Ravens for a 2021 third-round pick and a 2022 conditional fifth-round pick in late October, but the conditions all still apply. The fifth-round pick could turns into a third-round pick if he goes to the Pro Bowl and the Vikings or Ravens win the Super Bowl.
In nine games played this season, Yannick has five sacks, two forced fumbles, eight quarterback hits and 15 tackles.
