Trent Baalke is not a liked man in Jacksonville. But that’s no surprise. He joined the Jags in 2020 as Director of Player Personnel and later that season he inherrited the general manager’s job. And throughout that time, the team has been nothing short of a train wreck.
Most of the Jacksonville fan base who were in attendance at TIAA Stadium for the team’s season finale against the Colts dressed in clown outfits to protest the front office for their terrible performance, along with their decision to keep their GM around.
During a break in the action, the Jags held a little in-stadium trivia contest for one lucky fan. But it didn’t go as they probably had hoped. When asked to give her answer, the female Jags fan got widely cheered when she stated ‘fire Baalke’ as her final answer.
Unfortunately, that was the wrong answer, but the right one for the fans. I’m sure the cheers and respect from her peers is way better than whatever she was going to get had she provided the correct answer.
