Miami Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips suffered a torn Achilles back in November that ended his 2023 season prematurely.
His injury occurred in a 34-13 win over the New York Jets after he went down with the noncontact injury late in the fourth quarter. He had to be carted off to the locker room. A couple of days later, he would undergo successful surgery on his Achilles. Typically, such injuries and repairs require about a year of rehab.
Six weeks later and we are now seeing the progress of that surgery and injury.
Phillips took to social media and shared a picture of his leg:
Phillips played in eight games with six starts this year, totaling 43 tackles (28 solo), 6.5 sacks, one interception, and two passes defensed.
In the meantime, Peacock will present the first exclusively live-streamed NFL playoff game when the Miami Dolphins face the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
