The Tennessee Titans had a good defense in 2019, but it is definitely due for some immediate help.
The team recently traded away Jurrell Casey and cornerback Logan Ryan is currently a free agent. Don’t lose your minds just yet, Titans fans, because it seems the team might be in the market for defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.
Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune reported the Titans are among the teams “believed” to have offered Clowney a contract:
“Seattle began Thursday the way it began Wednesday, Tuesday, the week, the month—heck, the offseason: waiting for Clowney to decide if he wants to stay or go. The three-time Pro Bowl edge rusher has been weighing offers from multiple teams, believed to include the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans, in addition to the Seahawks.”
Something might be going already, because social media users noticed that Clowney began following a bunch of players on the Titans roster.
Dianna Russini of ESPN stated Clowney was hoping for a market that would offer him around $20 million per season, but no team was coming close to that.

The Titans still have over $37 million in salary cap funds, and that’s after signing quarterback Ryan Tannehill to a massive extension.
The 27-year-old recorded 31 tackles, three sacks, an interception, two defensive touchdowns, four forced fumbles, two recoveries and three pass defenses during the 2019 season.
