The offseason has not gone the way Jadeveon Clowney had hoped it would when he ended his 2019 campaign as a member of the Seattle Seahawks.
The free agent is now the biggest name still on the market after the New England Patriots signed free agent quarterback Cam Newton.
Over the past few weeks, Clowney has been connected to several teams such as the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans.
On Tuesday, NFL insider Josina Anderson said she spoke with Clowney and he said he plans to sign with a team “before the season starts, if everything still goes on time with the season.”
As for which team he plans to sign with, Clowney added, “No, I have not narrowed down a final team.”
There’s no telling what type of deal Clowney is looking for since it was previously reported the Browns offered Clowney a deal worth around $18 million per season and the Seahawks reportedly offered the former No. 1 overall pick a one-year, $15 million deal.
