It doesn’t appear that Jadeveon Clowney wants to play for the Jets.
Earlier today, former teammate Brandon McDougald took to Twitter and stated how the free agent told him that the Jets should come and get him.
Spoke to my boy (Clowney) today, told me to the tell the (Jets) to come get him!!” McDougald said. “Let’s make it happen (folded hands emoji).”
Clowney appears to have made it clear that signing with the Jets is not in his future. He responded with a set of laughing emojis.
Tough break for Jets fans, but at least they can lean on the fact that the team came away with a 2021 1st-rd pick, 2022 1st-rd pick, 2021 3rd-rd pick, and safety Bradley McDougald when they sent Jamal Adams packing to Seattle.
The Clowney train moves on yet another day with him not signing with a squad.
