Jadeveon Clowney is trying to make things right, but it appears he will be looking for a new team in free agency.
The 29-year-old’s relationship with the Cleveland Browns deteriorated when he was sent home for comments made about his role in the team and did not play in the Week 18 defeat by the Pittsburgh Steelers. On top of that, he had disparaging comments about teammate Myles Garrett as well.
On Friday, the free agent to be released a statement apologizing to the team as well as Myles Garrett.
A former No. 1 overall pick, Jadeveon Clowney has had a solid, if not underwhelming career with the Texans, Seahawks, Titans, and Browns.
Clowney’s 2022 season was disappointing, having just 29 pressures and two sacks in 12 games.
Clowney’s market will not be the greatest since he is coming off a less-than-stellar season in Cleveland and hasn’t played more than 14 games in the last five seasons.
