Should the Jets trade for a QB after Aaron Rodgers’ season-ending injury? That very well may be an option.
The New York Jets and their fans entered Monday night’s romp with the Bills dreaming of how far their team could go with its stellar defense, offensive weapons, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers under center. That dream dies within three minutes of the game after Rodgers would tear his Achilles on the unforgiving turf.
Just four plays into his Jets debut, Rodgers had to be helped off of the field with an injury before medical personnel eventually carted him back to the locker room. He won’t step on the field again in 2023.
A new report is now stating the team is internally discussing a possible trade for veteran Washington Commanders quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
Brissett signed a one-year deal with the Commanders and was seemingly brought in to push Howell before becoming the backup quarterback.
Brissett has played for four different teams across seven seasons in the NFL. In 2022, the seven-year vet started 11 games for the Cleveland Browns as the team went 4-7. He threw for 2,608 yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions. For his career, teams have gone 18-30 in the 48 games he started.

He needs not the long-term answer but he would be nice insurance to have should Zach Wilson starts to play like he did last year.
