Bad news for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Zay Jones found himself placed in handcuffs and arrested on Monday evening on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge, according to ESPN.
Jones was booked into the Duval County Jail and was scheduled to make a first appearance before a judge Tuesday morning.
The jail shows his arrest was for domestic battery causing bodily harm.
The Jaguars say “We are aware of the situation and are in the midst of gathering information.”

Jones is in his second season with the franchise after signing a three-year, $24 million deal with $14 million in guarantees in 2022.
In his first season, he caught 82 passes for 823 yards and five touchdowns. He also appeared in 16 regular-season games and started two playoff games.
This is a bad look for a Jaguars team that is playing well this year despite being blown out by the 49ers this past Sunday.
